Gentlemen. Oh how lucky are we who live within a few miles from the Mighty Maumee. Each year we congregate to catch the walleye, clean the walleye, and eat the walleye. Thanks for making walleyerun.blogspot.com one of your stops.
To round out some recent news, Closer was on fire at the end of the season. He had a night in the high teens on fish and clobbered them. Dubbed by him as, "personal best night of fishing ever" it was fun to be there and am glad I was.
This week, River Rat hit over 100 walleye home for at least the second year in a row. And if anyone out there doesn't know River Rat, he is a fishing legend. 100 fish. Incredible. So, Fisherboy, our hats off to you on that accomplishment. But you'll always be River Rat to me!
DBLDIP reclaimed a badge or two that had been missing from his vest this year, if you know what I mean. In that regard, the Doc is happy to report that DBLDIP can stop the therapy sessions! Here's how the process worked. DBLDIP admitted that he used floaters regularly (I knew we had a big problem). Later, DBLDIP started to throw some lead (I knew we were on the right track). And then recently, DBLDIP took one underwater...and then a second (Doc knew he was cured)! Welcome back, DBLDIP.
Toon had a tough season, but in absolute defense he was spending time selling my house.
I didn't get as many fish as last year. My totals are sitting on my desk at work, but I will get them out here on the blog soon.
And so the blog lives for a while longer. Thanks so much for all the posts guys. I don't know how else we could share information this easily unless we were face-to-face each day. Dr. Walleye will be on the river some more in the coming weeks.
Thank God for WALLEYE!
Doc

Yea Doc, it was an interesting season. My duel with Birdman for "The Belt" continues on. As far as your therapy, I don't like the kink in my neck from looking behind my back all the time. We can all hope that we don't end up like Rivrat aka Fisherboy and be on a first name basis with the "Man". I look forward to kicking everyones ass catfishing again this summer. I guess I can relate to bottom-feeders. It has been fun once again playing on the Blog this spring and I have even cut back on my dogging the DNR even though their boss and his fellow cohorts have been suspended for breaking their own laws. See www.ohiooutdoornews.com page 1 You know what they say corruption starts at the top. They will use Fisherboys fine to pay off their fines or some judge. Good ol Dept. Non-deserving of Respect, gota love em.
Hey DBLDIP, that kink in your neck will go away in time. Next season if you wet-arm earlier, you will only notice it in the amount of walleye home. Great article that you posted; I read the whole thing. Another fine example why the DNR sucks.
Here are my walleye totals:
This year I brought in 72 and took home 41. Last year I got 106 and took 45 home. The 2 years prior I only found the amounts I took home which were 38 in 2008 and 61 in 2007.
Don't know when I will get in the river...hopefully sometime this weekend. Good luck on the lake to those headed there.
By the way I'm up for the summer catfish challenge. And DBLDIP is the man to beat. I've tried a few times and never got close. Closer will be in on all of this. Maybe we should set up 2 evenings back-2-back for a mini catfish tournament when it gets hot. We can hang out, rip on the DNR, drink brews, and slam catfish.
