Personal Best
Last night we clobbered the catfish. I hit 30 points for the first time ever. My dad got 19. Only 2 sheep the whole night. River was up and running a little faster. However, I did have to kiss the fish...ugh! No smallies.
Hey Doc, your getting quite experienced at kissing those fish, soon we will be calling you fisherboy! Went over river earlier looks like it is back down already, may go tonight or tomorrow, have your lips recovered enough for another smearing? Birdman and Graybeard got their limit of perch on lake yesterday, just took a while.
Hit the river last night for a while, got 2 nice smallys, 8 cats and 1 small sheep. Graybeard, Birdman said you were catching all the fish while he stood there playing with his worm...
You guys are getting me envious going down to the Maumee. Looked at it this afternoon but did not have proper bait or shoes.
Had to go to Tile Pond to check for frogs. Did not find any. Caught 4 gills & 1 bass & wondered where the fish was. Right before leaving I found out they were there. Guy came down botton fishing with worms & banged 3 bass. He was telling me about all those gar fish released there a couple of years ago. I asked him about another large fish there, a buffalo. He said he saw it & wondered if they bit on anything. He said he caught 3 gars 1 day & threw them into the small pond.
Did managed a 18" largemouth at another pond north of Point Place in Mich yesterday plus assorted gills & another bass.
& Graybeard I will have to talk to Lisa & tell her about your undieing love for her.
You are right ,Fisherboy,when Lisa fish's with us ,all you have to do is set back ,drink beer and watch her fill up the cooler,she has out fished Myself,Birdman and Dlpdip,every time we have fished with her,Birdman did say he out fished her on Walleye,,have not fished with her this year maybe she has lost her touch this year
Yep ol Lisa puts us all to shame. Good thing she doesn't fish for catfish in the river or I would have to quit. Hoping to hit the river more next week when I'm on vacation. Maybe fisherboy will show up, only problem they are talking 90's all week.
I may see you down there,I have not tried it yet this year,just don't seem to have time,to many Honey do's and friends that need help'' only been on the lake twice,lost interest I guess..

Dbldip,did he tell you the whole story,,seems like ever other fish I caught was a Sheep,,,,I am not going again unless Lisa goes,,,
I can't get to the river again this week. Next week, maybe Thursday, Closer and I are planning to get down there.
