Catfishin!
Word on the street is that DBLDIP is looking to taste catfish soon...a big catfish kiss on the lips that is!
Doc wins! I got 16 points which equals 24 catfish minus 8 white perch. 32 fish on the night for me. CUZ got 2 smallies plus a cat for 11 points. Closer got 10 points. DBLDIP: 8...I believe his excuse was going for quality over quantity!
Dbldip neighbor has been fishing Jerome rd said that is the only area he could find any big catfish, you have to find the deeper holes,He said usually by falling in them
hey can you guys give me any information on how to fish for flatheads as well as possibly channels. I am new to the river this time of year but would like to get into a 20-30 pound fish by summers end. Any information would be great. Thanks
I don't really fish for flatheads to speak of but most guys fish upriver looking for deep holes or above the dam.Doc at the bait store says he uses live small catfish and bullheads for bait(they stay alive longer) than bluegills. some guys bottom fish with heavy enough weight to keep them down others use big bobbers. Some other guys I know jug fish for them also. Talk to Doc at Maumee tackle he seems to know what he's talking about.

You didn't miss much Fisherboy, Doc W didn't mention most of his "cats" were kittens that would have fit in a minnow bucket!!
