Sliding into the Wind
The river has been steadily declining the last few days. We're at 4.2 on NOAA with a strong east wind. That will push the river up temporarily. Our area is expecting some snow. Not much rain coming. We witnessed 2 guys fishing at the lower lot two days ago. No fish. Soon I'll have to get my waders on and give 'er the old pre-season try. Thanks for all the comments here and new members on Instagram.

I am getting surgery on march 27th, do u think I will have a chance to come catch some walleye before then?
It could be plausible
BBD...heck yes. Get in that river. I haven't been out yet but fully intend to get a fish soon. Best wishes with your surgery. Doc W.
that's good to hear, and thank you. I am going to keep updated on here because I have about a two hour drive to the river, so when they start biting I will make the trip!
Ive never fished the river before. Im an avid bass fisherman and have been on Lake Erie a couple times for walleye. Would this weekend with the warm weather be a good time to get out there?
I saw one guy in the water up past 475 bridge this afternoon. The water temp is still very low, with the predicted rain late this weekend I would expect to see some fish start to show up next week. We were over be Sandusky on Monday and there is still a lot of ice out on Sandusky bay. Need some warmup to make things happen.
