Drop it like it's HOT

Ok, the river is not so hot. Fish are moving around every day. One day a spot down river will be great and the next day the fish are gone. Then head way upriver into slackwater and the bite is on...till the next day. Be mobile people. Try out new spots. With the river low at 3.0, you have to change tactics and locations to find the fish. I still got into them yesterday but not like earlier this week. Pray for rain! Roy, thanks for the invite to go on your boat, but I have to pass due to professional responsibilities. It's not an identity thing; it's a time thing. There's too much fishing to do to talk about the DNR and their lack of Justice. I bet this post attracts some nonsense comments from a few haters. But like I said a month ago: the value of Freedom of Speech is immeasurable.

Went down a couple hours tonight, saw some guys with limits but most with 0 to 3 fish. Water very low and some boats are really gettin busted up. If you are unfamiliar with the river then take it slow. The area between Schroeders and Ft meigs can be 3 ft one second and 6inches the next. Quite a few fish rolling on surface also. I only managed 1 23 inch jack take home and 2 throwbacks. Have anyone seen many junk fish this year yet? The lack of suckers and such so far has been kind of odd. What are you guys seeing?

yeah i have only caught 1 all year. I dont know if its the low water temp or the fish die off that occured last year

Dbldip I would be trilled to even catch suckers. Went mid-day. Saw a couple limits at my spot. Not sure where their mouths were. Landed 1 in the nose & had 2 on. One of my most productive days.

Very productive on the rock ledge in the middle. Lord oh lord.

BTW I did not keep that nose shot.

Went down tonight and got 3 keepers in 2 hours, had a couple throwbacks also. Heard the morning crowd was prety heavy again. There were walleyes rolling on the surface all over this evening. The guy next to me went to net a fish and almost ended up with 2 becasue another followed his in. 1/2 oz weight seems to be good unlesss in the faster current.

I'm torn to go in the morning. How did everyone do today? It's an hour and a half drive for me from Auburn, IN. If I go it will probably be Bluegrass. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Probably a 1/2oz for weight is my guess for Bluegrass?
