Have a Shaddy Day!
Wow, those shad are in there thick right now. Makes for a good barbeque if you can't catch a real fish! The water last night was rising SO FAST. But I managed 3 keepers home last night. Not as many snagged/throwbacks last night for some reason. The carp were biting nicely too...a fun fish to catch except they were swinging in hard to the bank. Guys, don't bother coming into town this weekend. We're at wash-out conditions by now unless you are are a tremendously experienced boater. It's hard to find a place to stand this morning unless you climb a tree and fish from there. NOAA puts us at 8.4, and it would appear the river is trying to level out. The sharp rise stopped at about 10 pm last night but it is still going up a bit. We should crest soon. My graph I have kept for years doesn't even go that high, but 8.4 equates to approximately 586 1/2 for those of you who track the river by those numbers. Last week was awesome for high water spots, but they are now underwater as of last night. Fishing last week was spectacular if you know where to stand. This coming week will also be remarkable in high water areas. The Perrysburg High School vs. Maumee High School tournament is one week from today. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1wihdTzfRwhdzJIclAyS004bjg/edit to register. Perrysburg won the first annual last year, and it was all white bass. This year we will see walleye on the tape for sure.

saw 4 limits at White St by 7:50.and two of the limit guys were busted in the parking lot..one of the undercover wardens must have reported them ,he was still fishing, while these guys were being ticketed
Pageviews yesterday: 810. Pageviews last month: 19,720. Thanks for all the visits everybody! Doc W.
Funny about the limiters being busted. Went early today for the fishing. 3:30PM. Guess there were some limits or near limits earlier in the morning. While gabbing with 1 of the DNR guys he got a message about some snagger to go visit. Also some slip of paper to hand out. Better someone else, not me.
Toal catch for late afternoon - 1 snaged WE & a mighty small one at that. Saw quite a high % of small ones.
Got my limit Friday and the fish I caught were the smallest I've caught in 3 years. Not sure what that equates to, but they still taste good if not better than the big ones.We talked to the fish cleaning guy at Gary's and he said they were catching the same smaller fish in the bay waters.
Spent more time BS'ing & what not than fishing. Got to water & for once did not know anyone. There was no spots open anywhere unless you wanted to stand in water up tp the top of your waders. This was at 10:30. Finally a spot opened at 11:00. Caught 3 between 18" & 19". Final 1 was a nice 5+ lb 24" male. Time finished 12:02. Wish I could do this more often that's for sure.
Stoped by at 6:00 to visit with friends from Michigan. They struck out fishing from shore at Sewer plant, However the guys around the bend down river were doing quite well it appeared.
I saw small jacks last night too. Tasty limit! This week will be hot!
Good job Fisherboy, I commend you for still fishing hard and getting your limit at your young age. keep on fishin!
"Eugene Hunchback" will be removed from my blog for the rest of the week. And if this butthole keeps up the online harassment he will be reported to blogger.com at which time his IP address will be tracked.
Don't know about fishing hard. Tried for only an hr tonight. Only had 1 on for about 2 seconds. Water still a little high but def fishable.
Funny thing is from looking for a spot yesterday morning with all the guys & gals fishing to 6 people in the same area is surreal.
