Holy Fish!
If you can't catch a walleye in these waters I suggest taking up bluegill fishing. The river is perfect. It's dropping from 6.6 on NOAA. Fish are everywhere. It's time to get out and fish! Bluegrass is not yet open but will soon. Last weekend I posted to stay home due to high water, and yes I got my fish in my high water spots every day. But this weekend I say, "grab your stuff and get to the river." This is what you have been waiting for. The rain today should not impede fishing. FISH ON!

Where where where? 2 legal, 4 snagned. Birdman had 2 when I left. Assume he got at least 3, maybe 4.
Yes....where are the fish? It was slow at White Street and TowPath yesterday 4-23). Saw very few fish come out the river. I managed one and had people pointing and staring as I walked out.
Where is the best place in Orleans park to fish? This will be my 2nd time walleye fishing, came last Wednesday and caught a 7 lber and now I'm hooked lol, but I hardly know to much about fishing walleye and what weights would work/colors etc? Thanks!
Spotted Birdman Fishing Raccoon Hole today
Should i get out there this friday and saturday ive tried this river 3 yrs in a row and have only caught 4 walleye whats the level gonna be this friday and saturday and where should i go? Thanks for any help!
Birdman caught 3 keepers, snagged 5 & threw back 2 shorts. I managed 2, only 1 snaged & I cried when I threw back a short. Why everyone was out so far is beyond me.
All of the ones we kept were decent size, not dinks.
Tried the fire ring at BW for 20 minutes. Water too high but I heard that they got them at the point where the creek comes out.
Is this blog only for bragging purposes? It seems anytime someone has a question it is totally ignored. I see others from out of town asking for your guys help and you don't say anything bevause your to afraid of your "secrets" getting out. It's total crap. If we helped eachother to make us all more knowledgable on how to fish the Maumee river wouldn't that help Improve the overall fun? I mean come on you Catch your limit or close to it everyday is that not enough fish for you to let someone else in on the fun? You guys all know how frustrating it can be out there. Why not help eachother out? That's all I'm saying.
BETTER AREAS TO FISH WILL BE ORLEANS PARK, THE WHITE ST. ACCESS AND THE TOW PATH. What more can you say. Water still too high for BW (Buttonwood) & upriver fom the Maumee-Perryburg bridge. AT Orleans try way to the right if you can find room. Space is at a premium.
