New Regulations
Check out the new regulations listed in the Ohio Fishing Regulation pamphlet that you get with a license. On page 7, the walleye and perch daily limits for May 1, 2016 to February 28, 2017 are not listed. They are "To Be Announced" in April. Furthermore, it states the "...updated limits [for walleye and yellow perch]...may change beginning May 1, 2016." The walleye limit has been 6 at that time for YEARS. I wonder what will happen? We've heard of tremendous hatches in recent years. I'll go on a limb and hope for an increase to 7 walleye daily bags. If the limit were to go down, they would have announced it within this years regulations. It's something to debate while melting lead and getting your jigs made anyway! Here is a screenshot:
