Weekend Update
There were many fish caught this weekend so far. Most guys were getting 1-2. One boat nailed 12 in an hour early Saturday at Orleans and then the fish disappeared. Up at Jerome Rd the fishing was the best all day Saturday. The fish from last week seemed to have moved up river. But now that we have a strong current and high water, look for better fishing next week...in the high water spots. Boats will KILL the fish next week. Waders will be subject to the flow. Bluegrass is shut down. Fort Meigs Island is shut down. Last night I watched a guy try to get back to land only to get completely submerged. I also watched a guy take 3 steps from shore and go neck deep. It pays to have a long branch with you to check depths in advance of walking! Schroeder Farms was hopping last night. Lots of good people, good stories and good brew! Everyone is so nice there. * * * The river is up but steady since Friday night at about 6.2 ft. I marked 47 degrees last night, so that's great news for this time of year. Clarity sucks though. We're looking for the river to rise again, starting tonight, and move upwards for a few days. Happy Fishing!

The Boat Launch at MAPLE ST is a mess with all the boat club docks stored there,Also the men in Green trucks interviewing fishermen coming off the river. One was setting over looking the river on the top of the hill spotting. Also some trucks and trailers Ilegly parked No parking signs seem to mean nothing and blocking drive ways and alleys.
Glad I'm not fishing today. Still no fish including suckers.

The river crested at 7.53 over night Monday to Tuesday. Now on the drop, but more rain coming to keep the water high all this week. West wind will help us though. DBLDIP reported that kayakers were not even crossing to islands yesterday since the islands were also mostly flooded out.
Graybeard, I heard a rumor that they were keeping the docks there until May, to keep traffic down?!?!
Dr. heard I missed you and the beautiful Mrs. Walleye the other day :(
The river looks to be is pretty good shape this weekend into next week....I might have to get my butt in gear and give it a go!
I hear they are pulling out 6 to 10 walleyes around !-475 overpass is the fish story ? Does anyone know for sure? This will be my first river run.
Drove down tonight & looked. Saw quite a few fish. Made me wished I had fished.
