Welcome to 2019! Started in 2001, this blog provides information about the Maumee River Walleye Run. Instant updates @DrWalleye on Instagram. Check for regular water level updates taken through NOAA as well as my interpretations of them. The action is fast. The information is reliable. Moving Forward
The river is doing really well, dropping slowly and warming up. This week will be good if you can find the fish. All wading spots will open up, and this weekend will be maybe the busiest weekend for the river so far this year. Many people will come in and enjoy the Mighty Maumee. Best wishes, and happy fishing!

DBLDP reports in at 8:15 AM with his limit again.river is way down with very little flow river went from 4.88 ft to 3.9 ft at Waterville and flow down from 10100 to 5770 cubic feet per sec. We will need some rain soon River is very crowded a lot of boats and people on the Island
That's my first limit this year Graybeard, slow action this morning. River very crowded. For the new comers. Pay attention to how others are fishing, most of the time the bite is as far out as can be casted to, short casting not only is unproductive when everyone around you is long casting but it also causes a lot of frustration for the other guys around you when you constantly short cast and tangle with them. By paying attention a string of guys can successfully fish close together as long as everyone is aware of each other and casts in a manner that respects others around you.
Saw your car this morning around 8. Almost stopped but said the hell on it. Doesn't sound slow if you were done that early. Guess I need to get started earlier.
Ole DBLDIP strikes again! Nice fishing clinic you put on yesterday morning!
