HOG Patrol

NOAA has the river at 3.79 on Saturday afternoon. Still steadily dropping. Dr. Walleye scored a few hogs! I got two 10 lb females right in the mouth! Both were FISH OHIOs going 28 1/2 and 29 1/2. It was awesome. Got them within 20 minutes of each other. Add on 2 legal beagle jacks, and there's my 25 lb limit. Overall with the river dropping plus the recent NE wind, fishing has slowed a bit. But the number of guys floating and nailing keepers is staggering!

The river is a freakin' mad house. A bunch of buttplugs and their out-of-town cousins who fish with braided line and cast crooked are out there. But it's always fun to watch a novice take a dump in the ole river. That's the good side to it all.

3 DNR trucks were on the Maumee side all day yesterday and today--parked at that lawyer's office on the west side of the road.
