Corky and I hit the island Sun night. We got nothing. Heavier current than we expected. We fished left of Fisherboy's shoot. Got into a few fish but lost em all in the current except one wipe-ass. Moved upriver a bit to in front of the beach and didn't get any. Need the river to drop, which it is doing slowly. Crest was last night. But we're still at 4.9. There is plenty of water moving through Fisherboy's shoot but it is crossable (by everyone except Fisherboy by himself).
There were 4 guys in the hole last night. We didn't go down there. A guy walked our way with one eye. And those 2 asian fellows came walking up with a huge net full of lord knows what.

1 14.5" which became 15. Tasted good. Slow
Back at night. Went to hole all by myself. 25" spawned out female. Finally got my arm wet. ost 1 at net. Where is dpldip when you need him? Caught 28 WB which could have been 40 if i had not moved to allow guy to have spot. (He had to carry 50 or so back to BW.) Mooched a beer from Easzzy L on way back to car. Tasted mighty good..
Hey fisherboy were you on the island catching the WB or BW. Did you get that arm wet falling in trying to catch jigs floating down the river. White bass wars are about to begin!! Just listen to me, pathetic isn't it getting excited about WB.
Pathetic, desparate, lonely, call it what you will. I'm just happy for you DBLDIP. Hope we can find some fish. I still gotta talk with MAW about me getting out Friday, but I think it will work out fine. After all, a celebration will be in order. Might have to fill her in a bit on why though if that's cool.
Thanks for the updates fisherboy. Keep us posted this week. I'd much rather run into a bunch of fish on Friday by the fort than go to BW and get one. After all, no beer allowed at BW.
Morning trip. Started fishing for WE but cauught 4 or 5 WB. Watching the guy who had 40 the night before catch WB. Finally gave in & used 2 small jigs. Toal count of WB 51! Why not an even 50? Last cast got a double.
Going back with son. Doesn't like WE fishing but likes to catch WB. S/B different with him along.
& Dbldip you know why I got that wet arm. Should have done earlier in year.
Doc, don't talk to maw quite yet, ya know what I mean. Fisherboy, you are still fishing from shore aren't you, not that damn ledge you are always getting pissed about.
Fishing at Ft Meigs in Bob's hole last couple days. Son & I caught 53 WB. No doubles. Did not even take net down.
& WISH I COULD BE THERE FRIDAY SURPING THE BEER DOWN.
Understand BW is kind of dead but don't really know. Should call someone to find out. Guess Birdman is done with the River.
