The river is trying to level out at the 3.9 range but it's not going up yet. Nor is it going down. The east wind and rain should help the river go up maybe 1/2 foot by Wednesday. Ft Wayne is getting rain today, as are we. We could use a lot of rain and 2 full feet of depth change. Funny how quickly the river changes. Praying one day for west wind and dry skies, and a few days later hoping it rains to beat all DNR.
Thanks for the comments to Saturday's posts. See them for the fishing update today. I'll try to post this week at varying times, but Dr. Walleye has a busy week at work. No fishing for me til Friday.
Last night I caught what ended up being a lamprey. DBLDIP told me what it was...creepy looking snake-like thing with a sucker mouth...probably 14" long and not as thick as a ping-pong ball. If I wasn't in such a hurry to get back to the eyes I would have thrown it on shore. But, I didn't. My bad.

Went down late this morning... six in and 2 home. Going again Wed. pm. We can sure use some water. NOAA has the river on the rise!
Corky, way to go dude! You must be approaching the lead for the year! Keep at 'em!
Cameron, welcome to the site. Glad that you found us. Sorry I had to delete your post. But while we're on the topic...wanna buy it? 3 minutes from the back door puts you in casting distance of walleye...
Down to the river tonight for a little fun. Got 2 home and let 4 go. T$ was also lucky tonight. Always good to have some company.
Fished Wed pm on island at Side Cut, dead city. Thursday am fisherboy done by 8am, you would have thought he was some young pup the way he was nailing the fish. Birdman, Rog, myself and knotty pine Scotty all got our fish, hot pink is the color. Doc you should be proud of my skill with the ol floaters. Lots of nice jacks in the river right now.
