Time to Clock In

Fellow Walleye Warriors,

The time has come for the final push. Whether or not we totally bag some eyes on Friday night is yet to be seen. But the way this year has gone, I agree with DBLDIP. With low water for so long, perhaps there are walleye yet to spawn willing to make the swim from the turnpike thus making the voyage our way. Or did they get washed out? Time will tell. I've seen it both ways.

Therefore, we shall fish till we hurt. We shall pray to mother river to provide us one last bounty of walleye. We will thank the lord that River Rat didn't join the trash fish contest. And we will cheer on River Rat to hit walleye 100 home. Go for it Dude. Here at Dr. Walleye we got your back Fisherboy. Just wish I could have fished with you more this year and experienced the power of the floater. Guess I'll have to continue my caveman ways!

Anyway, the river peaked on Monday morning at 9 ft. We are now at 6 ft and dropping fast. But if the fish are packed up with this week's water we are going to hit the crap out of 'em. They will be at the hole.

Strive on Warriors. Strive on.

Dr. W.

All I can say is holy shit... Dbldp was right. The fish were really in there last night. I did a personal best last night with a limit home and the Dr. only got 3 home. First cast of the night was right into a wally and the hits just kept coming. 7 wb, 1 cat, 6 we, 1 wp, 2 carp, 1 sucker. Holy shit that was fun. TOTAL 27 Walleye Home! What a way to close down a great season.

Closer certainly was the man last night. Way to go! The guy kept pulling them in...like 3 in a row at one point. I was playing catch-up all night. Ended up with 3 walleye home (lost a few at my feet) 2 white bass, and 1 big sheepshead. The walleye that we got we mostly really nice 3-4 lb jacks.

Went down last night with the Birdman, he got 4 legal on floaters and I got 1 plus a wet arm 1, lots of junk fish, shad, quillys, 1 catfish, white perch, WB. The hole is packed with WB, water was down 6-8 inches from friday. When we got there the only people on this side of the river was 2 guys all the way down by the point. NICE.I think you need to go to the faster water to get the remaining eyes before they are gone, drag strip etc.May try tonight again, r u up 4 it Doc?

Got my 2nd big buffalo this afternoon. 10 lb plus. Near enough to the mouth to be legal. Also 2 WB. Plus made my mark for the year. Happy enough to stop after 3. Saw 2 limits of 6 however. Was at BW, Doc's hole. No energy to walk from Dan's driveway to the hole.

When down this morning, Monday, for a while 1 we at drag strip area and 2 in the hole plus a half dozen WB. Birdman had a big gooseegg on WE when I left. Water up just a little bit.

Did a complete zero this morning. Only 2 caught at Doc hole - BW was 2 by Jim - 81 years young (he now has 17 for the year so he deserves both of them). & poor BOB STRUCK OUT. Last 2 names mean nothing to any of you except Dbldip,Birdman & of course Rogers.
