Jig Molding Party

Hey all you walleye warriors! You know who you are. We're the ones settling on some ice fishing and hitting the nearby creeks for trout just to get through till March on the river!

I am looking at Saturday, Feb. 12 for the annual jig molding party in my garage. Bring your lead, your brews, and your poker change! I'll get some times, etc to you soon. Let me know if this date works for you.

At a recent event I spoke with a police office who in the 1990s doubled as a wildlife officer for Lucas County. He had no idea I was a big fisherman. We talked about the river run, and his quote was that rather than bust guys for snagging most DNR are out there to burn the hours and make a paycheck. He inferred that DNR guys are lazy and only out to bust people for drinking and littering. YEAH WHATEVER. Slippery little bastard. He's probably still working for DNR and trying to manufacture the "SPY GEESE" with hidden bill-cams to get a closer look.

He probably is an informant for the likes of Steve Thompson and Marty Baer, don't trust or tell him squat. He probably already got your license plate number and vehicle desription so "they" can monitor your movements.

Why must you constantly put down the law enforcement officials who are diligently trying to protect a valuable natural resource on this blog? Obviously your fishing skills are such that you must resort to illegal tactics to fill out your creel, what a shame. Uneducated idiots like yourselves will lead to the sure destruction of our state's vast natural resources for the generations that follow. Pitiful....truly pitiful.

Ya, I was looking for good info on the walleye run but this blog is just crap. Must be locals who got busted snaging and double triping got fined and now bitter at authorities how pathetic. Man up and practice responsible fishing and conservation. Probably the same losers who take females full of eggs and litter the river bank. To bad no one ever taught them ethics and respect for outdoors :(
