I took one walleye home last night from the drag strip. And The Closer tagged one in the waning moments of the evening...NICE! We each had a walleye throwback, and I tossed a carp too. My bro-in-law threw back a carp.
I saw one other fish come in sideways. It was super slow.
I saw what Gary wrote before he erased it. And while he recanted most of that (see today's post) much of it rings true. I've heard of guys getting busted for having a floater stuck in a walleye back, even though they caught it in the mouth. Imagine the guy on Thursday that Gary wrote about. If the floater did not have a different line on it than his, the DNR would have been proud to make a bad bust stick. Keep up the good work Gary! I understand why he deleted the post. After all, if I was Gary I wouldn't want DNR hanging out around my shop either.

Stopped Ft Meigs today and saw no fish a lot of guys leaving with no fish and doing a lot of bitching,as one truck would leave another would show up ,lot was full,,went to Buttonwood to look for Fisherboy, he must have moved on,,lot was full as was the road coming in,,parked past the campers ..talked to several all were discussed and did not have any fish,,I never saw a fish come out of the river or any on stringers either,,cold and windy,,
2 Green trucks taking up valuable parking space,,they were setting in there usual spot, behind where Fisherboy usually fish's
Looks like Gary is the one who needs to get some balls. To take back what he originally posted about the DNR and the other retractions just shows that someone from the DNR was in his face and he backed down. He back pedalled way to far and loses any respect I had for him. I sure would like to have a recording of that conversation for Youtube. To say that the DNR do not give out littering tickets is absurd, they do and they should. Just read the cuffs and collars section of Ohio outdoor news. For the DNR to complain about not being able to get the prosecutors to agree and put some pull it out your ass rule about how a guy handles their fish is just whining on the DNR's part about something they cannot control. That would be like getting pulled over by the highway patrol because he passed you and "knew" without winessing or having it on radar that you had been speeding. No evidence and innocent until proven guilty. How would such a law be enforced?
you guys must absolutely suck cuz i have went fishing like 6 times this year and never went home with less than 2
What is that fools deal? Cuz he is an asshole.
Ill agree with dbldip... Gary is such a quack and if i recall was a big poacher in his day...the fact that he puts that up on his website makes him look like a big bitch...
im going to hit the island in the morning...ill let u know how i do dbldip
