ICE JAM!

Grand Rapids is facing a standoff today due to jammed ice above the dam. Ice as thick as 13" is piling up at the dam and has not yet begun to move downriver from the dam. Even if the ice makes it over the dam, there would likely be another jam, causing the river water to back up and flood downtown GR.
