Happy Easter!

To all the men and women who make walleye fishing fun on the Maumee River, and to those who support us, Happy Easter! As you can see on Instagram @drwalleye there are many limits coming in, especially from the local guys who know where to fish. Boaters. Waders. It doesn't matter. What a great weekend! I will be in touch as we get to some even better fishing As April gets underway even stronger!

That is a pretty cool video Graybeard. I didnt fish Saturday and see why. Did get three tonight though, river came up about 10 inches from Friday morning, should be a good week going forward. Heard of a 28 inch jack caught on Saturday, thats a monster.

I fished last night at ft meigs. Limited out and a couple throw backs. These two bimbos next to me were snagging fish and sharing a stringer. They had 8 fish on one stringer. I tried to tell them but they weren't having it. They tried making another stringer with fishing line. Fools.

Me and a couple buddies are coming up Fri/Sat to fish. Are there any places around where you can set up a tent and camp out for a night or two?

Schroeder Campground on Perrysburg side of river. Look in prior posts for address. (or someone will repost here I'm sure)

Suppose to come down this weekend does anyone think the river will be too high and fast for wading?? Thoughts please. Thanks

Orleans & the lower lot at Ft Meigs should be OK. Looking like it should crest sat night maybe.

Fishing is less good while the river is on the rise. But people will catch fish late this week. NOAA changed their prediction, as usual, by 2 ft today. River now going to go up to just above 6'. Early next week will be better than the weekend if the predictions hold...aka...after the crest as pointed out by Gatlin. Tyler: Schroeders is the best place for you to camp. Great people. On the river.

Hih j water out there but i bet people are still boating. Very dangerous to anchor in a river moving this fast. Wait till next weekend Kory.
