Welcome to 2019! Started in 2001, this blog provides information about the Maumee River Walleye Run. Instant updates @DrWalleye on Instagram. Check for regular water level updates taken through NOAA as well as my interpretations of them. The action is fast. The information is reliable. Flat-lined
The river has been steady all week at 2.5 on NOAA, which is really, really low. Cold, windy and some snow has fishing dormant. People are getting some fish, but the walleye are not packed in there yet. We need some warm rain to trigger the main run. Late next week could be great if we get this forecasted rain on March 27-29.
