Sunday night drop

River is at 7.5 at 8 pm. I went on a tour this evening. One guy was at the lower lot. At Orleans, the lower lot was full. Lots of guys out there. I saw 2 guys each with 2 walleye (in metal panfish baskets). Saw a guy lose a legal one in his hands. DBLDIP and Corky were fishing tonight and will post updates sometime. Did not see green truck brigade. But there were guys fishing on the little island in front of the bigger island out from Orleans. Must have had a boat. They were fishing toward the Maumee side in the cut.

We have rain in forecast for Monday. But it's not supposed to dramatically impact the water level. Still guys getting hard females this weekend. Maybe I should reword that!

I struck out tonight, couple of guys got 4 each, Birdman got 1. Heard Fisherboy had a six pack earlier today. Pressure was higher today and the water is dropping quick. This week should be good still for walleyes.

All females. 5 of the 6 were hard. Wonder where the males went to. Upriver I suspose. Need neting lessions (grabing). Lost 2 grabing plus 1 debating to grab or lead to shore.

Interesting point I had to sit on my bucket for about a hour this morning. NO SPOT to fish.

I heard from Corky. He got 2 females.

Do they spawning walleye actually bite at night or are people just going out to snag. I went by the river and people were fishing out there at night. Was just wondering if people thought the fish would still bite or not

Two nice size walleye last night. Hooked plenty of carp. Water was real high around the polock hole.

I know who that eugene is. I have seen him keep many times at button wood and down from the campground. He keeps snagged walleyes. I can't believe that he gets on the other website all the time. If you fish with him, i would not admit it. He is always hanging out with or at least in the area of a bunch of guys who unhook under the water and never have a throw back. One of them is a guy they call "snagger Bob" Pathetic in my opinion.

yeah he is always on that other website and looks like a total douche with that hunched over look. Figured he snagged when he always has a limit

where did you get that 6 pack dr walleye?

Dr. Walleye said...

Yes, walleye bite at night. They don't call them wallEYE for nothing. I like to put glow-in-the-dark jig bodies on my ball cap for a while and then use them once it gets dark. They work great!

What's with all this name calling?
