On the Board!

It's on! I got 1 male and 1 rock hard female yesterday. Closer got 1 male. A few guys I know down there each had a fish or 2. I saw another guy throw back about 5. There were fish coming in about every 20 minutes. I saw one limit. Talk about cold and windy! It was brutal. But catching walleye is not for the faint of heart! I have a pic posted if you look to the right, but it's kind of blurry...trying to figure out my iPad...

What hitting the best as far as spots? I always hear Orleans park but to me that's snag city. Is fort megs producing? I'm from out of town and was planning on fishing next weekend. You guys think it will really pick by then?

Don't waist your time at Meigs! It has been dramatically changed by the floods.Hit Buttonwood or bluegrass. Orleans is not a snag fest, just real shallow if your not out far enough.

The Towpath by the sewars is really hot right now. All next week is warm weather and some chances of rain. We could use a few feet of water in the river or things could slow down. I would guess that next weekend will attract lots of anglers.

Fished at meigs on Saturday. I got 2 males, one was a 6 pounder. Snagged 2 others. My friend also got 1. And snagged 2 others. I seen several limits, and almost everyone around me had at least 1. Also tried between the bridges at Fremont. No luck there yet. I have a good feeling about this years run.

hey doc we have been fishing at meigs and doing so/so should we be upriver early in the run?

Bullshark: not necessarily. with the water being so low. it's really anyone's guess. By mid week upriver should be better since it swelled up a foot on Monday/Tuesday. Good luck.
