GOOD Friday!
The river is low, the pressure is heavy, and Doc got his limit on Good Friday. 3 throwbacks too. And the bonus fish of the day was a largemouth bass that hit on a white twister tail...1/2 oz jig. It ran upriver and then jumped for me! It was awesome. I've gotten some smallmouth during walleye season but never a large one!

Out of curiousty where is everyone fishing? I have not seen any of the gang this year. I know it seems like I'm always at BW.
Just 2 today, no throwbacks.
See ya on monday fisherboy. Dad and myself should be there mid morning. Dad got 2 at bluegrass yesterday. As for me is was the worst day I've had since I started chasing these river eyes about 8 years ago. 9 hours fishing and no legal fish(of course every species of carp I caught was in the mouth) "Good friday"?
In my opinion this run is as good as over. Only 1 legal the last two days. Didn't see more than 2 on any stringers. Not sure if I will waste anymore time fishing for these walleyes.
Has anyone ever fished the pond at homecoming park in holland? I stop out there a couple times a week after work. I usually just catch some really sorry looking large mouth bass, with an ocational 3-4 pounder. Today I stopped out there and fished for about an hour, and caught what I believe is a hybrid bass or wiper. It was 5 1/2lbs. And faught like hell. It took me almost 5 minutes to get it in.
New Got you from DNR....Clean your fish at a fish cleaning station .and get a ticket on the way out of Marina.Campers be where
It is illegal to possess fish in any form other than whole or cut
into complete fillets with skin attached when fishing from shore,
or a boat, or unloading fish from a boat on any waters where a
fishing license is required until the angler reaches their permanent
residence. It is legal to transport fish whole or as fillets with
the skin attached while returning from the Lake Erie Islands on a
commercial ferry boat. Frozen fish must be transported in a way
the fillets can be easily identified and counted
yeah whats wrong with that greybeard. So you have to keep the skin on the filet until you get to your house big deal
Made it to the middle of the river at BW. 2 suckers & 1 WE. Trouble is I decided to measure the WE. No matter how I tried to stretch it, it only went to 14.5". Damm, damm.
Friend that I went out to fish with had 2. Water level is so low it's not even funny.
Worked hard but got my 4. Off bluegrass there is a nice pocket of fish straight across from shroeders boat launch( not afraid to share the wealth). Wind was fierce expect the same on tuesday.
Fish at all today fisherboy?
Yes. 1 sucker & 1 snagged we. One other snagged WE at rock ledge.
Think I will try Bluegrasws tomorrow around 9:00
I haven't been down to fish but the river is at summer level. We really need some rain to bring up another run of fish. Its sad when we had all that high water all winter and now nothin. I hope Gary doesn't try to hype it up for the weekend for the nice weather or a lot of guys who waste their time and money are gonna be pissed.
you know he will.....the tourny is this weekend so he will be posting false reports all week
Fish all fxxx day & you can get 1, maybe 2. 6 suckers & 1 WE. Think I gained on weights & jigs. But it was still fun. Back to 12:00 starting time.
o fisherboy...you need to step up your game....gary is saying that the fishing is GOOD!!!
