3. TOURNAMENT START/STOP: The tournament will begin at 10:00 a.m. on May 5, 2012 and lines must be out or the water by 2:00 PM. In the event that the tournament is cancelled due to weather or river conditions, it will be held on Saturday, May 5. Fishing down by the 475 bridge when I got tired of losing weights & floaters every other cast so I decided to go to BW. Got down to BW, got out of car & got my pole. Whoops no pole. Damn I left it. A few cuss words later I took off to see if it was still there. Drove a little over the speed limit (75 MPH) to Waterville without a ticket. Lucily in Waterville I was behind 2 cars which kept me within the speed limit. Got to the pullove I was at & much to my surprise my pole wqas still there.
As far as fishing results 2 WB & a 26" spawned out female by the bridge. BW was not 2 productive - 2 WB & 10 snagged suckers, quillbacks & WB. Saw some guys returning from the Schroder area with god only know how many WB. Sure hope they can clean fish fast.
Got 2 walleye at Buttonwwod yesterday at your favorite spot fisherboy but the Birdman went home empty handed and without the belt!
No WE today but 50+ WB including a "Fish Ohio". Wondering if I'll fish for WE any more this year. Seems stupid to spend all that time when you can drive to Fremont & get them faster than heck. (Or so I am told.)
are they still catching them in fremont?? i would like to pick up a few more walleye. What areas are they catching them in fremont?
Go to the bait store for directions. I'm guessing behind the golf course ( by the old hydro plant.
Wish I could tell ya. Been stuck in the bed with pnumonia since saturday. Got 4 last thurs but only 1 on friday so who knows
Hope you get well soon David. The WB are going crazy in the Maumee if you fish the right area. I caught 40 today before my back gave out. I only kept 6 of them. I was not keeping many due to the fact I was not about to carry them back to the campground to give away. My friends from Canton was on their way back from the hole when I got there. They probably had 150 between the 2 of them & told me not to keep any for them. They were carrying the fish back to their camper yesterday. It did seem strange releasing 12" WB.
Thank you sir. Glad to hear your catching some fish
