Fish on!

The NOAA reading today is 4.72. That's 582 1/2 on the 475 scale. Bluegrass will open up soon.

Limits are everywhere! Most guys I saw were taking home fish. In some spots the fish were so thick that I snagged some--and threw them back of course. Hot pink was my lucky color yesterday. In all, I got 14 in two hours.

To answer a comment from yesterday, people have hostility toward the DNR because they invent ways to write tickets. Rather than being open and communicative, they are sneaky and conniving. Rather than inform people of the rules, they skulk around the bushes with their monoculars and video cameras. Then, when they feel like it, they pick out someone, make a claim of rule violation, and write a ticket. One of my friends got a ticket several years ago for "attempting to snag". What the hell is that? How can someone "attempt to snag" and get written up for it? DNR could operate the river differently and get better results. But they would rather try to force people into compliance. Think about it. What teachers in school did you respect and as a result abide by their rules--the teacher who yelled at you or the teacher who communicated with you like a young adult?

Thanks Dr. I can see your point. I guess I have never had any trouble with dnr. Maybe my view would change if they banged me for something I didn't do, or attempted to do (that's nuts).

Another thing with the dnr, they do not want the so called "Locals" on the river. They only want the people who spend globs of money out of towners whom on the most part do not know where or how to fish the river or even the out of staters who/when they poke have to pay now rather than fight them. If the dnr want to get you they will, some of them even have underwater vision by their claims of how they supposedy see someone catch a fish even if the fish has not broke the surface. Maybe if they spent less time hiding in the bushes with their spotting scopes and video recorders and acted with dignity instead of their high and mighty attitude they have more people would think of them positively. They know the river is their cash cow or why would they continue to allow this early season.
