Welcome to 2019! Started in 2001, this blog provides information about the Maumee River Walleye Run. Instant updates @DrWalleye on Instagram. Check for regular water level updates taken through NOAA as well as my interpretations of them. The action is fast. The information is reliable. And the Ohio Department of Natural Resources enforcement officers are watching--BEWARE!

Looking Solid!
The water level dropped today from 7.94 to 7.5 between 7 am and 3 pm. Left of the shoot must be open. By Tuesday, more will open up. No crossing to the island yet, but maybe, just maybe by Wednesday with any luck. I don't think the second shoot will be crossable by then though, so the hole remains untouched (that's what she said!) If I could fish today I would. Even though we have not had rain in a few days, I'm guessing that the flow is still super-charged. Be careful when you step in.
