7.12 on NOAA
Sorry for being away from the blog. The river this afternoon is at 7.12 which leaves room to fish left of the shoot easily. But we're still rising, albeit a bit slower of a rise than yesterday. Me and Corky hope to get out on Thurs to provide a firsthand glimpse. Hope the river is cresting. I don't see us crossing to the island tomorrow though.

Doc W. Wednesday fishing was slow, fisherboy and Birdman fished left of the shoot with little sucess, the river was still rising at that time and several guys barely made it back off the island. Today I checked out buttonwood (in road) and White street which was packed with guys and did see 2 with there limits by the bridge and Union school. Only 21 days until vacation and some quality fishin time.
As usual snaggers did great by the bridge. Saw 1 guy double dipping in the morning. Also keeping fish snaged in various spots of body on top of water. ODW guys must have been blind. God wish I had the nerve to do same. but I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN A WET ARM. Threw back about 7 we, kept nome. Fxxx things will not bite for me except for 1. Measured 5 or 6 times. Either 14 7/8 plus or 15 long. When I shuted the mouth it appear it might be short, open long enough. Kept on stringer for a while but finally tossed back. I don't trust the ODW guys.
