What a scene this morning. Guys were throwing back legal fish left and right because they already had their limits. By 9:00 people were shoulder to shoulder both sides of the river as far as eyes can see. Saw one pissing match between wader guys and a boat of 2-3 buttfuck losers...this time not the DNR. But no fight broke out.
I finally had enough and left after landing 16. EZ Limit threw back three 7 lbers...going for the tasty jacks. I left with 2 male 2 female but nothing bigger than 5 1/2 lbs...threw back a few biggies but not like EZ.
Baker--time to get up here and tell the father-in-law you'll invite him over for dinner.
Lonn and JRod...welcome to the site. Thanks for following. Let us know where you're from and how things are going for you.
This is going to be a fun week. Don't know till tomorrow when I'll be back down. Spring Break ends today...and on a day of 16, I'll take it. Doc W out.

Hi fellas and thanks for the welcome Doc. I moved to Toledo recently and will be participating in my walleye season. Saturday and Sunday will be my first days and I can't wait! Who knows, I actually might hit the river up sometime this week depending on work schedule.
I've been scouring the 'net for information on the area & I gotta say, I love the site; the best source of information out there for Walleye fishin' on the Maumee! I mean, between the site itself and the regular contributors, you can't beat the knowledge here.
About me, I grew up in Sandusky, Ohio fishin' for perch and smallmouth bass my entire life. I've never been walleye fishing per se. A couple of times, a few friends and I would troll for Walleye in deeper waters in the summer after limiting out on perch, but that's about it. Which is why I can't wait to hit the river this weekend! I'll certainly let you know what transpires.
thanks again
Hey El Pescador. Anywhere you hit on the river right now will produce legal catches of fish. And as I see you have your Juris Doctorate, legal may be your best bet! I got my Doctor of Leadership Studies just a few years ago, thus the Doctor Walleye thing. In fact my Dissertation Advisor has his PhD and JD...a great mix for my study on the Ethic of Justice and Curriculum Design. But back to the walleye fishing...get on down there and have fun!
Talked to The Birdman earlier, fishing was dramatically slower today versus yesterday at same spot, water dropped a foot while him and fisherboy were there this morning. No limits there today! The river should rise a lot overnight, probably too much to fish the hole by tomorrow, we'll see.
It sucked. It also was wet. But I made my mimimum for the year with 2we. Birdman threw back another fish ohio. May try BW in morning.
