Yes, Fisherboy is accurate with getting the news of the bust at Schroeders. One of Doc Ws key informants (unlike b!tch boy S.T.) saw the whole bust going down. The fishermen had ramped their boat when a DNR truck pulled in from River Rd and saw them unloading. Obviously they were spotted on the river. DNR called for backup. The fishermen were high tailing it to their camper and pulling their coolers (idiots) when the DNR pulled up and blocked them in. One BUFU basically ran from the Ft. Meigs area all the way to Schroeders to offer his BUFU assistance. My friend who saw it was surprised at where the other 2 guys came from...sort of out of the wood work if you know what I mean. I don't know anymore than what Fisherboy said in regard to what they got busted for though.
Don't bother going today. We are above flood stage. Tomorrow does not look any better. The river is still going UP.

YOUR RIGHT ABOUT THE RIVER... IT IS WAY UP. I AM LOOKING AT THURSDAY MORNING AND EARLY FRIDAY NIGHT. ALWAYS BE LOOKING FOR THE GUYS IN THE WOODS!
We should all rest easier knowing the green truck patrol is in full action. Too bad those jerks don't get the budget ax instead of programs that actually help people.
Thurs morning could be good for me Corky. We'll see if the river cooperates. May have to resort to fishing the cut. This river is really cutting into my brew time.

YEP. Someone said BREW! And...the river is getting swiftly pushed out with this west wind at 20 mph. In fact the latest hourly reading was slightly lower than the peak reading. Too soon to say that we crested, but that would be great news. BLOW WIND BLOW!
...meanwhile, in other news unrelated to catching fish 3 guys were rescued off Blue Grass Island on Sunday night, as reported by Maw, DBLDIP and The Blade. They couldn't cross back and had to call for backup from Maumee PD. P'burg PD Boat Team also reported to the incident.
Sure wish we were all talking about banging walleye instead of the latest gossip! I mean really...I had no idea that DBLDIP was such a great kid-sitter!
I wonder what DNR BUFUS do on days like this. Sit around and pull each others' pud I bet.

Wish I could sleep in the morning. Wroke up at 6 & went to SP about 7:20. Knew 2 guys fishing so had to try. BS for while & ACTUALLY fished for 30 minutes or so & said the hell with it. Too cold. Saw a fish when I left. Nice jack. Stopped in front lot where vender said 3 guys left from bridge area with LIMITS. He had the nerve to say they fish liked I used to, whatever that means. Went home for about 3 hours & wondered about the bridge area. (after a hour nap) Back to the river around 1 (no soaps today). Checked the playground area which was too high (not if the fish were really in) & went back to the SP. Stayed until 3:30. Results - 1 scale, 1 (2?) on, 1 nice 21" male which my son, wife & I had for supper. (Of course my 1 dog had to get a couple of bites too.) Left with 2 Ohio trucks in back lot. Saw 4 other fish.
Had to get picture taken so stopped in tackle store & lo & behow 1 of the guys that was from the 3 by the bridge came up & gave me a hug. Knew me from the meals we used to have at the 'breakfast club hole'. To tell you the truth I had no idea who he was or is. He makes Bob from BW (Dbldip knows who I mean)look like a conserative business man. In any case the 3 really only caught 5, not 12 assuming they are the guys talked about earlier.
Fisherboy, you still get out even when the weather sucks , I give you credit for that,only 29 days until vacation starts.
