Ole River is spiking fast. We're at 7.13 at 3:00 pm today. That puts fishing almost out of reach. I'm surprised at how fast the river is rising. If you're going tonight, you would have to fish left of the first shoot and hope for the best. Or hit Orleans in the high water. The river may go up to a 9.0 reading which is flood stage. I guess we got what we wished for! Whenever the river crests, the action will pick up. But you'll need a boat to get out. Upon the water receding to around the 7 marker, action is going to be crazy.
I am hoping to fish Wednesday, but at this rate, I doubt it will be possible. Could make for a GOOD FRIDAY...
Maybe I'll join Fisherboy for that airlift that DBLDIP promised him.

The DNR blows!
Dr W, if we are going to airlift you with fisherboy we will need one of those military heavylift choppers just to carry your cooler!
Also,
Remember boys to answer your cell phones, I plan on doing a lot of walking the next 2 weeks and maybe I will even see our famous BGHS alumni celebrity Steve T. But he shouldn't have your name, vehicle type and plates unless you work with his dickhead brother in law Brian A.
Was down to Dan's driveway tonight. Was going to walk down the trail but the mud kept me from doing. No fishing for me today. Was BS with couple of guys at Sewer Plant who said there was a bust at Schroder yesterday involving a boat, 3 fisherman, 4 ODW trucks & a $1700 plus request. Again it was unverified but the 2 guys were staying at Schroder.
