The river is at 4.36 NOAA. That's about one foot higher than 24 hours ago. Good news. However the forecast for water level has again been reduced. Nonetheless, any water is good water. We'll see how the rain/snow/wind goes the next 2 days. I'm thinking the river is in really good shape, considering the last 2 weeks of no dramatic rise in level.
Fisherboy...once you are able to 'drive down' I'll be glad to help you out if you need it. Seeing how DBLDIP is sort of useless these days, I'll step up for you. But you bring the beer. And none of that Old Milwalkee crap!! Just kidding. I'm looking forward to fishing with you.
DNR is at it again. There was an article in The Blade about how some fishermen get violent out there on the water. A DNR BUFU was quoted as saying that when he saw a fight get started he just laid back and watched. Then when it was over, he stepped in and issued tickets. GET REAL! When good fishermen and getting hassled by boats that come damn near close to running over wader guys, the DNR does NOT step in. And when drunk boaters start throwing oars around, the DNR takes a break. You know DNR is watching, but when you might need them, they puss out. ...just another example, in their own words, as to why DNR guys SUCK.

Doctor Walleye, why would you expect the DNR to step in, they might get their clothes dirty and besides they are too busy investigating hard core criminals. There is no money in it for them in this kind of shananigans to pad their budget, or to make it into a big publicity stunt about them like they do, see Bowling Green Sentinal Tribune front page last Saturday, as an example.
Don't know about Monday. Snow & that might make driving bad. BW might be too high. Was about at the max this morning. What a diff a day makes. Some limits today. Not me of course. 2 legal, 1 snaged which guys said was safe to keep. Thought about it but threw back. Gutless but def safer. Suckers were biting of course. Some asians took about 10 home with them along with their WE. Wonder which will be the better eating. & no joke sucker patties are quite tasty. Ate them a few times. When I was in my early prime (around FDR time).
Hey Anonymous, I saw that article in the BG paper last Saturday and almost threw up my lunch, too many warm and fuzzy thoughts,my dream job would be getting paid to be a jerk also, too bad you have to work for the state for those kind of fringe benefits.
Yeah, tonight was sweet down at the ole place we sometimes hang out. Rainin like a banshee. Not nearly as hot as Friday night, but I'll take it. Just got home a bit ago. Tell you what...you guys make a lot of sense. I'll check out that article Anonymous. Try logging in for some extra fun.
DBLDIP...got your phone message...was too busy at the time to take your call if you know what I mean. Got to fish tonight with EEEEEEEEEEEEEEasy Limit.
About the sucker comment... Fisherboy...seriously...maybe that's what you should feed your dog! When you were in your prime my parents were barely born dude. I mean, back in the day we use to go up to the Lake and keep a shit-ton of catfish--and they were good. But suckers? Funny stuff! Man, this blog rocks. Can't wait till DBLDIP loses his poontang.
let me know what your schedule looks like this week and I will get there when I can. Sorry about the last couple of days. Things are crazy at the house.
