In the 25 years that I have spent on the river I have witnessed the DNR use every tricky tactic known to man to bust guys for fishing legally. Yes legally. To sit and accept the DNR as contributors to a healthy walleye population is to consider one half of the truth. The other half is portrayed in this blog. Go back and read the years of responses that highlight the DNR setting up normal guys and busting them without proof. One example: I saw a guy who legally caught a walleye (on a lead head) get busted because the fish had a floater stuck in its tail. Should that guy have thrown back the fish just because of DNR foolery? And some people want me to believe that the DNR are stand-up professionals? I think not.
If the previous posters want to view my blog as crap, then so be it. Just don't get agitated when you get busted for legal fishing. That day will come. And when you ask the DNR for their proof, you won't get any. Spend $500 for a lawyer to fight your cause, and you'll then have a snagging ticket and a $500 bill. It's not the judge's fault. What's he to do?
At least I have the balls to state the truth: The Department of Nauseating Remittance is going to get their money. Make your payment at the courthouse.

You forgot to mention the case of giving a ticket several days after the fact. They just happen upon a fisherman and gave him the back dated citation.
Nice response to the nay sayers!
