Stop! Hammer Time!
Get out there. Stuck pigs are in there at my spot. Closer limited on Sunday night. He saw another limit in 30 minutes and other fish being caught.
This morning was some of the best walleye fishing I have ever seen on the river. Non stop action all around Doc W. favorite hole, Fisherboy had his limit before I even got there. Lots of nice jacks and a few big Buffs thrown in the mix with many suckers to keep you busy. Not too crowded either. The guys on the sewer were hammering away and hoopin and hollerin. Hope it lasts.
Love that pole passing both from & to me. Then throwing legal 20"+ back. Cullers could go crazy trying to figure which ones are larger.
Downside is that damn walk to your car carring fish. (Above is re Ft Meigs but believe me there were a lot of fish caught at BW. Older friend got his 2nd & 3rd of the yr there & I'm sure he will get a couple more tomorrow.)
Fishing stayed hot on Monday night. I limited in 45 minutes. Closer limited. I'm guessing that T$ limited. Scotty and his boys limited. Everyone was killing them! I got a rock hard female--5 pounder maybe. Thought is was a jack.
Fishing still good this morning. The east wind making it a little more difficult than yesterday. Graybeard, Fisherboy , the Birdman and myself all limited out. The "Boyz" were reported to be on opposite side eyeballing our shoreline. Must be kind of discouraging for them watching all those legal fish being pulled out and no one to bust.
Fishing at its best this morning. I had to work at 9 so I was worried I would not have enough time, but no problem limiting out in under an hour with nice jacks at the towpath. Will be back in the AM again, so nice not to be next to a bunch of weekender goobers!
Hey those weekenders goobers have to fish sometime. But I know what you mean. Hope Ft Meigs stays hot 1 more day. Droped guts off around 5:15 in dumpster & saw a shit load of fish caught in the lineup at Ft. Meigs. Made me want to drive home & get equipment for 2nd trip. But I guess the fish 'protectors' would not like that.
Saw some fish caught at SP (Orleans) too. More than likely everywhere. BW was hotter than heck in the morning at 1 hole. Quite a few LEGAL FEMALE WE landed. 1 looked to be close to 10 lbs. Most were released. To me its a personal choice.
Anyways so many good spots not enough time. & wished some of these fish could have been around a week ago.
Another good morning today, lots of nice size jacks. We all got our limits by 9ish. Will have to move upstream in a day or two if the water keeps dropping. Sounds like they are getting them everywhere.
man im getting so jealous im sittin at work all day while u guys are fishing i heard its hot and people are catchin like crazy im comin out there saturday morning around 7 u think we would have luck because we still got nothing
Fishermen they will be around Saturday. But so will 5 million fishermen besides you.
& a thank to Birdman, Dbldip & Graybeard for their help. Wish they were there when I really wanted help while I was floating on my back. Water was not that cold however. Be careful crossing cuts even if you have done them 100X before.
Fieherboy and Birdman killed them today...Dbldip did not fish with us this morning,, He put the HEX back on me,,,,I guess I am done for the season,,need some rain the river flow is really slowing down,,time to move up stream soon

How far up the river will the walleye run? I would like to try to catch some but I do not want to stand shoulder to shoulder fishing for them.

WE will go all the way to the dam at Grand Rapids. Not a lot however. In Waterville there's a spot or 2 West of the bridge where they fish for them.
