Start it up!
The river last night was crazy hot. Limits were everywhere. As expected, the high water, crest, and drop produced a ton of fish in the river. Many are hard females. I threw back 36 walleye, many snagged, but that shows just how thick they are in there. We also threw back many suckers, carp, and watch out for those stinky shad! Get to the river everyone. Our time has finally come! Today the lines were big and many anglers have come to the Walleye Capital of the World! * * * On NOAA, the river dropped over one foot in 24 hours and now sits comfortably at 5.8 with a continued drop in the future. Things look fantastic for a long week of hardcore fishing.

I did really well fri. & sat. Stayed home today. I caught 20 fish sat. In a 2 hr span. Colors weren't to particular but I really hammered them with bubblegum & chartreuse.

I'm ashamed that I only caught 4 WE this morning. LOL & only 1 sucker.
I am ashamed that I see so many females being kept on such a great run.....that's all I have to say:(

I am Ashamed Birdman got his limit in 15 minutes and it took Me and Dbldip 45 minutes then fun fished for another hour and a half.Heather also left with her limit,

Is it ok (allowed) to do fishing after dark.
Went Sunday Morning at Fort Meigs. Only caught 1, but moved and ended up catching the rest of my limit at White Street by noon. Combo chartreuse or christmas lights, 5/8oz. egg sinker on a 4ft leader worked best for me.
I am even more ashamed than Graybeard to allow Birdman to outfish me so fast. The bite has been outstanding the last 3 days. Limits everywhere. I finished up this morning in 45 minutes and sorted after words. 12 legal fish in all and at least that many snagged. Had to Show Opiewan how its done! We will see how Graybeard and Birdman do this afternoon. Fisherboy we were looking for you Sunday night.

What time can we start fishing in the morning?? Is it 6 or 7 and also what time does fishing have to stop

Dbldip. left at the right time,we got there just in time for the sucker run,Birdman kicked my ass again.I snagged alot.Lost 3 legals because of a couple Jackass's casting over my line when the fish was right in front of them.tangling up there line and not letting me reel the fish in.we did limit but it took me a while ,Birdman up graded a couple.The wind at times was a Pain most of the time

But there are still tons of walleye biting in the river. We are forecast for a steady river level for the rest of this week. I bet that a lot of people will be serving walleye on Easter Sunday!

As up now i am going to Orleans Park only.
Fished Ft Meigs yesterday AM it sucked.Dbldip and Birdman also fished they had one each .I think they went up stream to fish some more.I checked Jerome Rd they were doing Poor .Talked to the fish checker guy .He said he was seeing a lot of spawned out females and small jacks. Looks like we need some more rain to bring up a another run.
Don't know what Gary is talking about. Just by the few pictures on his site from last 2 days show the fishing sucked. I walked Buttonwood last night and 80% of guys left with nothing. No one is even snagging fish so I don't know where they all went. We need rain bad to bring in fresh run.
Slow today at BW. Got 4 but I really had to work at it. THey are hitting best on the rock bar I hate in the middle of the river. Looked like Orleans except in the middle of the river. Too damn many people.
Went down last evening and got skunked. The closer got 1 legal. Guys in boats at eastern tip of bluegrass were doing fairly well. Lots of small jacks were the normal. Good luck today to anyone who fights the good Friday zoo.
Fishing must really be good today .the river is packed from Maple St to Jerome road..BUT the CATCHING must not be so good.I did see one fish maybe 15" if you step on it..All the people I saw leaving the river had ZERO,,, and bitching about how bad the fishing was ,Nothing like was being posted on the internet...A lot of out of State plates..Fisherboy should start a Guide service he seems to be the only one catching fish..But at least he has the pictures to prove it...
It has slowed way down as fisherboy said had to work for them yesterday lol and today only got two at Jerome road from sunrise till 1230
Yes the fishing has gone almost to hell. Managed 2 WE all day except for a mid day break for a fish fry & a few drinks. Much more enjoyable than 1000 casts per fish. On the bright side the suckers were still there & 1 of my fish was a female with firm eggs. The run is still on??? Bring on the whities.
