So, yes, the river is on the rise again Walleye Warriors. Welcome to April, and this is no joke. From what I have gathered this week, there were some great days on Easter Weekend and then again Wednesday and early Thursday. And now, up we go on water levels again! Have no fear! It's nice that this year we actually have some variation. Remember the last two years... * * * In at least the last two decades, the walleye runs of 2014 and 2015 ranked at the bottom of the pile. After ice, which lasted until the 3rd week of March, we clobbered em!...only to have the river stay low--on average--for the rest of the spring. Even white bass numbers in May were low for the last two years. So, this year we had a fast start. That's great! So what is next? * * * Remember that the Mighty Maumee tells US when to fish and not the other way around. We are at her mercy always. Say a prayer, have faith, and stay ready for some fishing in the next weeks that could be legendary. DBLDIP is in the house. Fisherboy is on stand-by. Birdman is watching. Whacker-H has you covered. I just did a drive around and saw 2 fish carried out of Orleans, also saw a "Fisherboy" standing there in the rain getting wet. At 475 bridge the height is 585.5 and hauling butt. Quite a few boats out from Orleans but everyone is fishing in main current for some reason.
Looks like it crested today..Counted 8 boat trailers at maple St Plenty of parking at Ft Meigs and Maple St.Orleans lower lot had a few spots upper lot plenty .never saw a Fish at 12:30 everyone must have limited out and went home..Jerome Rd area guys were fishing for rabbits in the weeds I guess.bait shop said they saw a lot of limits.Fisherboy.got his for sure saw the picture
Nope only got 1 today. Back to reality. Need to get up before 9 in the morning.
Enjoyed fishing with you Doc, & all of you tonight. Too bad the fish were not hitting in that area. Hoping the water keeps dropping.
Admit it Fisherboy We took a ASS WHIPPEN .The River looks like it Dropped 6 inches from last night.might still be to high to cross

We Took another ass whippen this morning in the Rain Birdman got one .one fish for people not to good..For 4 people boats were doing Fair nothing like last night for them.DBLDIP .brought us bad luck again..
