Eugene "River Rat" Carter Obituary

Eugene T. “Gene” Carter, age 78, of Toledo, passed away June 21, 2017 at Swan Creek Care Center. He was born May 6, 1939 in Toledo to Wade and Bessie (Clark) Carter. Gene was an accountant with Securities Incorporated for more than 42 years. He was a master fisherman who enjoyed fishing for walleye and salmon. Gene and Carol enjoyed western square dancing. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol Carter; sons, Thomas E. Carter and Craig A. Carter; grandson, David T. Marsh; and sister, Eleanor Scheiba. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his brother, Winston Carter.
